About Us

Danielle was unexpectedly laid off at the beginning of 2012 and used the opportunity to follow her creative dreams. Cheers Ink started at her kitchen table while looking for a new job. She created the first set of coasters by combining slate with wine corks. After the first sale, the new business took off and she began using ink to design personalized slate coasters, plaques, wedding favors and table numbers. Eleven years later, everything is still done in-house by Danielle and Austin, including graphic design, branding, custom coaster design and production. Cheers Ink continues to run out of their home in Des Moines, Iowa, helping support their family.
